In addition, there is a kind of golden teak, also known as black-hearted manglietia, it is not teak, (Latin scientific name: Tectona grandis L.F.), also known as carmine, purple teak, blood tree, etc., is a large deciduous or semi-deciduous tree, trees as high as 40-50 meters, breast diameter 2-2.5 meters, straight trunk. Bark brown or gray, branches quadrilateral, stellate hairs. Leaves opposite, large, ovate or elliptic, abaxially densely covered with gray-yellow stellate hairs.  Teak is a tropical tree species, requiring higher temperature. Vertical distribution is more common in low hills and plains below 700-800 meters above sea level.
Form: Teak is a tall tropical broad-leaved tree with a height of 39-45 meters and a diameter of 1.5 meters at breast height. Bark brown or gray, branches quadrilateral, stellate hairs. Leaves opposite, large, ovate or elliptic, abaxially densely covered with gray-yellow stellate hairs.

The world's precious timber tree species; teak leaves are crushed by hand, blood-red dyes stain fingers, and it is difficult to wash for a while, so it is called carmine or blood tree. Suitable growth temperature: 43 - 48 ** temperature and 2 ** temperature.
Nature: Teak has a golden luster, made in Thailand as **, teak is oily, uniform wood color, straight texture. The bark is 0.5-1.0 cm thick, soft and easy to peel off. Peel grayish-brown; easy to peel off in patches. The endothelium is reddish brown; phloem fibers are well developed with lamellar arrangement. The difference of cross-section sapwood is obvious. The heartwood is golden brown and oily. The sapwood is yellow and white with a width of about 1.0 cm. The growth rings are obvious and uneven. Coarse fibers in teak structure have medium weight and very small drying shrinkage coefficient. The drying shrinkage rate is 2.2% in radial direction and 4.0% in tangential direction from wood to air-drying. It is one of the smallest deformability factors in wood. It has good bending resistance and abrasion resistance. The air-drying density is 0.58-0.67g/cm3. It is not easy to warp and crack in the case of large changes in sunshine, rain, drying and wetting; it has strong water resistance and fire resistance; it can resist termites and sea bugs in different sea areas, and is extremely resistant to corrosion. Good drying performance, good adhesive, paint, wax performance, because silicon is easy to blunt knife, so mask must be worn to prevent silicon powder into the lungs leading to silicosis, cutting is more difficult. Because of its excellent nail holding ability and good comprehensive performance, it is recognized as a precious tree species in the world.

Wood properties and applications: air-dry density 0.70-1.10 g/cm. Heartwood chestnut brown to dark gray brown or chocolate, with dark stripes; sapwood yellow-white to yellow-brown; heavy and hard, texture to irregular, slightly rough structure, stable and durable. It is suitable for furniture, joinery board, floor and interior.
