Wood properties
Raw wood sapwood is light red, heartwood is light red or yellowish or brown. Under natural conditions, the heartwood and sapwood gradually turn to brown with light red tone. The transition between heartwood and sapwood is obvious. Walnut-like patterns can be seen on the sawn section. Wood is very resistant to decay; wood is slightly heavy with air-dry density of about 0.72g/cm3; wood has strong strength.
Climate of origin
South America lies in the southern part of the Western Hemisphere, in the southern part of the Western Hemisphere, to the east of the Atlantic Ocean and to the west of the Pacific Ocean. Most of South America has a tropical rainforest climate and a tropical grassland climate. The climate is warm and humid, mainly tropical, but not continental. The average temperature of the coldest month in winter in the whole continent, except in mountainous areas, is above 0 C, accounting for the main part of the continent in tropical areas, and the average temperature is over 20 C. Winter is much warmer than North America. In the west of South America, there are zonal tropical desert climate and Mediterranean climate, while in the Andes there are alpine climate, and in the southeast of South America there are subtropical monsoon and monsoon humid climate.
In most areas, the monthly mean temperature of the hottest summer is between 26.8 degrees Celsius, which is far less hot than the tropical regions of Africa and Australia. Temperature variations are smaller in South America than in Asia and North America. The whole continent has abundant precipitation. The area with annual precipitation over 1,000 mm accounts for more than 70% of the total area of the continent. It is a continent with small desert area in all continents.
purpose
Because of its decay resistance and good mechanical properties, it is suitable for wooden structures, skeletons, carriages, ships, furniture, floors, etc.
