Camphor wood is imported from Indonesia, Malaysia and Sabah, including Camphor wood and Borneo teak. Scientific name: borneol
Macroscopic structure: porous materials. Pipe holes are obvious, slightly more, medium in size; single tube holes; partial oblique; abundant invasive bodies. Axial thin-walled tissue magnifier can be windy, annular or nearly wing-shaped. Wood rays are slightly visible to the naked eye, slightly dense and slightly wide. Axial gum duct is obvious under naked eyes, long strings of white dots.
Trees and Distribution: Large trees, up to 60 m in height and 1.5-2.0 m in DBH. There are about 9 species of this genus, distributed in Southeast Asia. Often imported from Malaysia and Indonesia, it is an important commodity of Nanyang timber.
Cross section: Heart sapwood has obvious difference. The new section of heartwood is rosy red, but it is reddish brown for a long time. The sapwood is grayish-brown, 3-6 cm wide, and the growth ring is not obvious.
Bark: 1.0-1.5 cm thick, hard, easy strip peeling, peel grey to gray/regular shallow longitudinal cracks; peeling is yellow. The endothelium is red; phloem fibers are well developed and easy to tear into lamellae; stone cells are abundant and lamellae.
Wood properties: glossy: the new cut surface has a strong smell of camphor. 纹理直;结构略粗;质量硬;强度高;干缩中，加工容易，切面光滑;含硅石，易钝锯;油漆、抛光性能良好;胶黏性差;钉钉易劈裂;含单宁，遇铁器会变色，略耐腐，干燥慢，稍有翘曲、开裂，气干密度0.8g-/cm3。
